I have QuickBooks Enterprise Edition 2007 setup (Server side) on a Windows SBS 2003 server with the QODBC Server installed. On the client system Windows XP SP 2 with QuickBooks Enterprise Edition 2007 (Client side) with the QODBC connection setup there. The server got reloaded and installed OK, but the client will not activate says that it is exhausted the license. To the best of my knowledge it is only installed here. How can I get this working correctly?

If you're using the USA edition of QuickBooks Enterprise 2006 or 2007 you don't need a CD Key to activate QODBC to use it read only mode. Check the about tab in the QODBC Setup screen for the current status of the license.

If you have purchased a QODBC Server Edition CD Key and you have QODBC Server Edition installed on your Windows SBS 2003 server and on Windows XP SP 2 workstattions, that's multiple installations of QODBC and it requires multiple CD Keys (Server Edition licenses) depending on the number of workstations.

When upgrading from the QODBC Enterprise Edition to the QODBC Server Edition, the CD Key is a license to activate the upgrade for one computer only (most likely on the server). The remaining workstation can continue to use the QODBC Enterprise Read Only Edition.

I have purchased both 1 Server edition and 1 workstation edition.

We had some computer hardware problems and now after reloading the systems we are having problems on the workstation. The server did activate but the workstation will not. Also yes it is a US version.

That fixed one problem, the system with QB has dual nic's and it registered to the wrong one.
