I am experiencing a problem w/ Enterprise Solutions 9 on XP (company file is stored on a Windows 2000 Server).

I keep getting an error that says "Database Maintenence In Progress Please Try Again Later" when trying to access my company file. It's obviously caused by corrupted data -- I have had to restore once from a backup, and now my data has been sent to intuit for the 2nd time. I cannot get into the file when this error arises.

I use QODBC for many automated tasks, importing and exporting from my mysql based website using the mysql ODBC connector. This issue has come up multiple times, and has carried over from ES8.

My company file is 900mb+, I use mostly NOSYNC queries to upload invoices, sales orders, credit memos, and inventory to my website.

Intuit does not have an answer, could this somehow be caused by bad queries, or problems with my QODBC settings?

Quickbooks is on a database server, there are about 10 users, plus I have QODBC running on a dedicated machine (not my server) that runs all these queries/tasks. The file is not heavily fragmented (typically 1 fragment, sometimes 2-3 but we run defrag software to minimize it).

Any input would be greatly appreciated, I lose entire business days when the system goes down.

A QuickBooks company file can be corrupted by any number of reasons that have nothing to do with QODBC or the Intuit qbXML SDK. While I've seen the SDK corrupt company files, it usually just stops the table from being accessed from QODBC itself. What is more important for you to check is that all copies of QuickBooks must have the same maintanance service packs installed. Check each users copy of QuickBooks by doing Ctrl-1 with QuickBooks running and the company file open.
