Is there a field which can handle hold binary data, such as a TIF file?  The project we are trying to omplement is using QODBC to create invoices with customer signatures printed on them.

No, there are no binary fields, but you can use a Custom field in the Customer record to store the name of the TIF file for the signature.

See: Where do the Vendor Custom Field Label Captions come from?  for an example on how to setup custom fields.
