Hi,

We are using an evaluation copy of QODBC to see if we can get our online store hooked up with our QuickBooks data. I'm running Windows XP Pro & QB Premier Retail Edition 2005. So far however I've been unable to get my ASP pages to be able to connect to QuickBooks. I followed the Remote connector instructions explicitly and I can connect remotely through apps (the VBDemo and Dreamweaver) but for some reason my ASP pages hang as soon as I try to set up a connection. The asp code hangs as soon as it hits:

oRecordset.ActiveConnection = "dsn=QuickBooks Data;" & _ "IBizRemoteConnect=Yes;IBizRemoteUID=admin;IBizRemotePWD=1234;" & _ "IBizRemoteURL=http://localhost:2080;IBizRemoteConnTimeOut=2;"

Right now I'm just trying to get the sample ASP file (DisplaySQL.asp) to work. I've even tried to use the DCOM connection but both remote connection types cause IIS to hang indefinitely when it sets the connection string as above. Any suggestions? I'm out of ideas.

See: How can I see QuickBooks data in a Internet Explorer Browser using Windows XP?

The most overlooked item is that your company file must be able to be called in unattended mode (auto-login mode) as detailed in: How do I setup QODBC to auto-login into QuickBooks and start it if it's not running?
