Credit Card Charges |

I have successfully assigned classes to over 7000 records by updating 'ExpenseLineClassRefListID' within the table BillExpenseLine. Now I need to do the same for Credit Card and Journal Entry transactions. However, when using sp_columns on the tables I notice that they are not updateable. Is this really true? Is there any way to update fields such as 'ItemLineClassRefListID' within the credit card and journal entry tables? If so, what tables can I access to do this?
PS I also posted the topic 'Updating BillExpenseLine.ExpenseLineClassRefListID, BillExpenseLine.ExpenseLineClassRefFullName ' which is how I accomplished what I mentioned above.
Thank you. |

A number of transaction tables are currently add only (insert) and can't be updated.
See: ODBC Errors when Updating ClassRefListID
However, QuickBooks SDK 6.0 and QODBC v7 is expected to include the following new features for use with U.S. editions of QuickBooks 2007 and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 7.0 that will let you do this:
Enhanced Data Access -- Transactions
- Support for BillPaymentCheckMod
- Support for CheckMod
- Support for CreditCardChargeMod
- Support for CreditCardCreditMod
- Ability to create Invoices (InvoiceAdd) from Sales Orders
- Support for JournalEntryMod
- Support for ReceivePaymentMod
- Support for TimeTrackingMod
- Ability to Query, Add, and Delete Vehicle Mileage transactions
- Ability to set and query "IsToBeEmailed" field on Invoices & Estimates (in Query, Add, and Mod operations)
- Support for "Other", "Other1" and "Other2" fields in all query, add & mod transactions
- Change TimeTracking to use BillableStatus enum in place of IsBilled & IsBillable (to enable indicating that time added has already been billed)
