Can you clarify whether sales tax rate may be associated with QuickBook Jobs?

This article in another part of the Forum suggests that Jobs are stored as Customers.

However in QB Pro 2006, the sales tax rate is associated only with the Customer.

So if I use QODBC to insert or modify a "job" via a SQL command against Customer, e.g. to store a tax rate reference, will it work?

And what happens in the QB interface? Will invoices for a Job calculate tax correctly?

While the Customer holds the default sales tax rate associated with the customer, what tax is used can be controled in every invoice line. See: How do I create Invoices? for more.
