I've been using a licenced version of qODBC Pro for Quickbooks 2005/06 Read Only. Last month my computer hard drive failed and the PC had to be rebuilt from scratch.
I've just reinstalled the qODBC driver, but the licence doesn't work on the new hardware.
I can't move the licence from the old machine using the floppy disk method (as I've done before) because the old hard drive won't boot.
How do I install the licence on this new installation?
Thanks |

QODBC v5 is no longer supported and the registration system used by v5 has been replaced by a new activation method. We would recommend upgrading to QODBC v7 in order to obtain the new CD Key required to activate our current product download.
If you download are latest version (see: How can I get the latest version of QODBC? ), the product will run for 30 days while you decide what you want to do. |

I only bought v5 13 months ago and it worked fine for the simple task it had to perform. I would rather not upgrade just because you have changed your activation system.
Are you able to reissue me with an activation code for v5, please? |

QODBC v6 and v7 have a CD Key that allows the license to be activated on any computer. For QODBC v5 we will need the SoftwareID and Request Code from your rebuilt computer to provide a new registration code.
To do this you will need to install QODBC v5, which can be downloaded from: http://www.qodbc.com/download/qodbc5.exe, click on the "QODBC Setup Screen" shortcut in the "QODBC Driver for QuickBooks" program group, click the Registration button, and copy the SoftwareID and RequestCode details.
You may request a new registration code by providing these details along with your company details in a Priority Support Incident purchased from: QODBC Priority Support. This is a public forum, so we can't provide any registration codes here. |
