Most of the QuickBook reports are available through a QODBC stored procedure called sp_reports. The best thing to do is find the report in QuickBooks that matches closest to what you want and find it on the sp_report list.
The QuickBook report options are very similar to the sp_report parameters. So if you customize the report in QuickBooks and review the options, it should be clear which parameters to set on the sp_report line. |

Does this mean that it is not possible to query the gl transactions and that a report must be used? |

Yes, you will need to use the reporting engine because there's no such thing as a General Ledger Transaction table (GLTran) in QuickBooks. |

That didn't turn out to be too hard after all, at least for a one time export. I exported a list of transactions with no page header or footer to a tab delimited text file and imported it into Excel.
Thanks. |
