Hello,
So I'm trying to design QuickBooks to be a linked server from our SQL Server... I've installed QB2007 + QODBC onto the SQL Server, I opened QB 2007 (and data file in multi user mode) on the console, and configured QODBC to use DCOM for access. Lastly I added the Linked Server to SQL via the ODBC driver + QODBC DSN.
I then opened SQL Enterprise Manager to test the linked server, which worked fine.
I then had another user open SQL EM (at their workstation) to test the linked server... he got the message:
"Error 7399: OLE DB provider MSDASQL' reported an error. Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed] QB Open Connection Failed. Create DCOM Instance Error = 80070005, Unknown error... Created qbXMLRP2 OK. ] OLE DB error trace [OLE/DB Provider 'MSDASQL' IDBInitialize::Initialize returned 0x80004005: ]."
Any idea what I'm missing?
Thanks, -Scott |
