Hi there

I can't get the auto login feature to work.

We are using QB Premier 08/09 (Australian Version), and have downloaded the trial version of V9.00.00.253 onto our server (I am working from the server).

I have followed all the instructions at Forum : I receive this error connecting with QODBC. "QB Begin Session Failed. Error = 8004041d" and How do I setup QODBC to auto-login into QuickBooks and start it if it's not running?

I am pulling data into Excel 2007 from the time tracking table (amongst other stuff).  Here is a copy of the connection string from Excel:

DSN=QB BOO1002;DFQ=T:\BOO1002\DATA\QB\Data File\Company File Name.QBW;SERVER=QODBC;OptimizerDBFolder=%UserProfile%\QODBC Driver for QuickBooks\Optimizer;OptimizerAllowDirtyReads=N;SyncFromOtherTables=N

All I did was go to Data/From Other Sources/From Microsoft Query so perhaps I'm not setting the connection correctly?  If I have the QB data file open, the query refreshes no problem.

Thanks
Aaron

The Australian version of QuickBooks 2008/09 is based on the USA version of QuickBooks 2007 and therefore suffers the same unattended mode bug as shown in: After upgrading to QuickBooks 2006 or 2007, QODBC "auto-login" unattended mode no longer works?

Remember that when using unattended mode, you have to use 'Locate a company file' or a QODBC connection string with "DFQ=C:\Program Files\QODBC Driver for QuickBooks\sample04.qbw" rather than 'Use the company file that's now open in Quickbooks' and QuickBooks can't be running already!
