I found this message in Intuit website. Do I have to get my own Digital Signature from Intuit in order for my Application to work with Quickbooks and QOBDC driver.

My applcation was developed using Visual Studio 2005, and I compiled the Source code into an executable file, (exe file).

"You can apply for and obtain a digitally signed certificate for your application. This certificate assures the user that your application code is authentic and has not been tampered with. For information on digitally signed certificates, what they are, how support for them is implemented in QuickBooks, and how to obtain and use them in your application, please see Appendix C, “The QuickBooks SDK and Digital Code Signing.” At login, QuickBooks presents one of two user interfaces depending on whether an integrated application has a digital certificate. Figure 1-4 on page 4 shows the user interface for authorizing login by signed applications. Figure 1-5 on page 5 shows the user interface for authorizing login by applications that are not signed."

The digital certificate is in relation to using the QuickBooks SDK directly and doesn't apply if you're using QODBC.
