I am trying to insert Employees into QB from an Access database and I keep receiving the following error on certain employees:

[QODBC] Error: 3100 - The name "Maricela Madrigal" of the list elements is already in use. (#10053)

I am assuming that I am duplicating a record that QB thinks it already has, but I don't believe that is the case here as I am adding on a unique ID to the last name. However, I do see that the access database has stored the first and last name with many 'whitespace' characters.

So the following name would not be inserted:

"Maricela                 Madrigal                      405"

But this one would:

"Maricela                 Madrigal     405"

I see the length of Entity.FullName is 209, but I am guessing that it is not using the full 209 to determine uniqueness. Can someone tell me the length of FirstName, MiddleName and LastName that QB will utilize to determine uniqueness, judging from my testing its somewhere between 41 and 58.

Thanks in advance.

You need to trim the data out of MS Access.
