I installed QODBC on a Windows Server 2003, and attempted to use it with an Australian Quickbooks 2006/07, Multi-user, on the same machine.  It connects, and using VB Demo 32, I can retrieve information from every table I try except Customer.

This is what's in the log file:

20060803.030453 I 2176 RequestProcessor ========= Started Connection =========

20060803.030459 I 3856 MsgSetHandler Finished.

I uninstalled, and reinstalled.  I downloaded the most recent version from your web-site.  No go.  It just doesn't return any records when I try "SELECT * FROM Customer".  I did choose Australia when installing QODBC.

It appears there's internal corruption in your QuickBooks Company file. Try using another company file.

The Company file was fine when using Quickbooks Premiere 2004 (Australian).  My customer upgraded to 2006/2007, and now it won't read the Customer table.  I tried a Rebuild.  It still doesn't work.  I tried a new Company file, and it does work.

How do I get this to work?  Why is the Company file corrupted under 2006/2007, but not under 2004?  Is there a way to get the data (including transactions) out of the old company file and into a new one?

Sorry, the company file appears to be corrupted internally, you will need to restore a previous backup. The Australian qbXML v3.0 SDK has a bug that causes internal corruption to a company file when too many Customer fields are attempted to be processed at the one time in an INSERT or UPDATE operation.

Again, why is it corrupt using 2006/2007 and not when using 2004?  No INSERTS or UPDATES have been performed.  We just upgraded the program.  The first thing I did was query the Customer table, and it didn't work.  I tried Verify and Rebuild.  Everything works within Quickbooks, including the Customers.  It's just the SDK that has a problem.

More importantly, is there any way to extract the data from the Company file and into a new one?  Perhaps some tool?

Sorry, I suggest you convert the original 2004 company file to 2006/07 format again. From there your client should contact Quicken in Australia directly for support on file corruption or data transfer.
