Dear Tom,
It's been a long time since the last time I asked for your support. Right now, I'm having a problem with the activation process.
I will be away from my office for maybe a week or two, but still need to bring my work with me. I have deactivated my desktop computer about 3 days ago and until today, I still cannot reactivate my license using my laptop.
I've already read all topics related to the activation and deactivation procedure and still cannot find any possible solution except maybe to call for support.
As far I know, it will take about 24 to 48 hrs for the deactivation to process and I'm way pass 48 hrs.
Best regards,
Rodney |

Have you checked that your desktop copy has actually been deactivated? If you have been moving your QODBC license from a work computer to a home computer and then back to your work computer you will eat up your seats.
For example: Computer A to Computer B to Computer C will use one seat.
But Computer A to Computer B to Computer A will use two seat counts because Computer A has been licensed twice.
QODBC is licensed to each computer. When you purchase a single user license, you are licensed to use the product on one computer only. If you need to run 2 computers, you need to purchase another copy. Please contact your local sales office directly on :

If I deactivate computer A (office desktop) and activate computer B (Laptop) then after a few weeks , deactivate computer B then Activate Computer A - does this meant I need to use 2 license?
It is precisely what I'm going to do. I have already successfully deactivated my desktop computer and has also successfully activated my laptop. I intend to deactivate my Laptop after returning from my vacation and activate again my desktop computer. If this is the case, then I'm in trouble .. :( ....have to buy again another license?

A QODBC license is required for each computer it's used on. Deactivation is meant to provide a method to transfer the license from a old computer to a new computer. If you actually want to license two computers you will need two licenses. |

The intention was never to use two computer, but temporarily transfer the driver to my laptop when I'm away for my vacation, then revert back to my desktop after my vacation.
Is there a way to reset the license registration ?
Scenario:
What if I have to reformat my hard disk., and reinstall everything including QODBC, Do I really need to buy another license?
Thanks.
Regards, Rodney
