Could somebody tell me please if this sounds right?  I've chosen the "The end of yesterday" option and I am using NOSYNC for my queries using PHP because the queries were taking forever otherwise.  This means that users will have data that is at most 24 hours old right?

Is it possible to have the users "Load Updated Data" or "Reload All Data" from a web interface?

Sorry that's a bad option. The best option is:- "The start of every new connection (with "Load Updated Data" first)" because the optimized data is updated automatically upon a new connection and left unupdated until the next new connection occurs again. If you use this option, then you will not need to use the NOSYNC tag in your queries.

See: How do I setup the QODBC Optimizer? Where are the Optimizer options? for all the options and how optimized tables can be updated.
