The version that comes with Quickbooks enterprise does not allow auto-login, e.i. login while Quickbooks is closed.  Is this a function of this version, because the registered version I have does allow this.  I am trying to let someone else run the programs that I have developed prior to the Enterprise 7.0 release.  Do I need to purchase licenses or am I missing something.

No, auto-login or unattended mode is a function of Intuit's SDK. Setup is as per: How do I setup QODBC to auto-login into QuickBooks and start it if it's not running? which you already know. With Enterprise Editions there are often several user accounts so you may need to remove them first as per: After upgrading to QuickBooks 2006 or 2007, QODBC "auto-login" unattended mode no longer works?
