I am trying to establish a Linked server in SQL 2005 for the FlexODBC product.  I have reviewed the examples in the forum however these appear to be more suited to the QODBC product. What I am attempting is as follows:

- Using SQL 2005 Server (32-bit) with SP2 and FlexODBC v 4.00.24
- accessing DataFlex on SCO via Samba

Using the VB Demo, I have been able to access the DataFlex application over Samba successfully and been able to query results.  However, now I'd like to progress on by utilzing SQL 2005 to establish a Linked server so that I can query the DataFlex files through SQL Management Studio.  In attempting this I am getting an error reporting:

[Microsoft ODBC Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectionAttr Failed, OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server XXX returned message "384", (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 7303)

CAN YOU HELP?

In some preliminary investigations this seems to allude to security however, I am unclear as to what level?

[1] SAMBA (this is required to access the dataflex applicaton location)
[2] DataFlex files (not required)

A step-by-step procedure of creating a SQL 2005 linked server with DataFlex may help to point me in the correct direction.

Thanks in Advance,

Jason
