Installation error when downloading QODBC using FireFox |

I received the following message during the installation of the 2007 version: "An I/O error occurred while installing a file. This normally caused by installation media or a corrupt installation file." The progress window said it was installing: C:\Windows\system32\fqqb32.dll
I tried the following on successive attempts: 1) entered the CDkey in the installation wizard, 2) did not enter the CDkey installation wizard, 3) renamed the old fqqb32.dll file in system32, 4) downloaded the installation file again. None of those worked.
Our billing system depends on QODBC so this is urgent! |

Sorry, you haven't said anything about what O/S you are running? Was QODBC on the machine before? Have you been able to install QODBC on other machines?
I would normally suggest you reboot, rename C:\Windows\system32\fqqb32.dll to C:\Windows\system32\fqqb32.old. Download the QODBC v7 installation file again to a different folder and install without entering a CD Key installation wizard. |

The problem seems to have occurred during the download of the qodbc.exe file using Firefox. When I used Internet Explorer to download another copy of the file, the installation went smoothly. So problem solved! |
