I downloaded and installed the read only version of QODBC from inside QBES (ver 1) and was able to function properly. I purchased the full version, input my CD#, activiated and was able to read and write to the QBES file.
Yesterday I updated QBES to R7P. QODBC would then run in read only. I uninstalled and then reinstalled to get the QODBC to show in "Programs", input my cd# and activated. I now can read but am unable to write back to the file. I am getting a "Tamper Protection" block from my virus protection software which I didn't get under ver1 when the driver was installed under the Quickbooks directory.
Any thoughts? |

If you purchased the full version of QODBC for QuickBooks 2006 you will need to upgrade it for QuickBooks 2007. QODBC will only run as read only against USA version of QuickBooks Enterprise 2007 if you have a W06xxxxxxxx serial number. Check the about tab in the QODBC Setup screen for your serial number details.
You will also have to allow the QODBC Software protection scheme to function by unblocking it. |

I purchased the full version of QODBC for QB 2007 and am running QBES Ver 7 R7P. It was working before I applied the update to take me from Ver 7 R1P to Ver 7 R7P (without unblocking anything). I'm not sure what you mean "allow the QODBC Software protection scheme".
My serial number is a "W07" number.
Thanks, any further assistance is appreciated. |

Are you also using the FREE Enterprise Edition of QODBC on the company file from other workstations? |

There are no other workstations, single user only.. |

Please install the full version of QODBC (see: How can I get the latest version of QODBC?) and confirm the license status. In QuickBooks, Edit/Preferences/Integrated applications... and remove all "FLEXquarters QODBC" records and reconnect QODBC. |

Thanks, that did it! I'm still getting a message from Semantic but it is just annoying - doesn't stop me from working.

Ok, contact Semanitic support to see how to unblock the "Tamper Protection" notification. |
