Using QODBC version 7.00.00.214
I have tried on two different WIN98SE and one WIN98 systems with same results. Get message when trying to goto Screen Setup/VB Demo. Get message if try to edit the System DSN configuration.
Drivers appear to be loaded as System DSN OK.
Same drivers installed OK on WIN98ME and XP systems.
Have disabled anti virus software. Have removed/rebooted/reinstalled at least three times.
Latest MDAC is installed on these systems.
Get message that system could not load the setup routines or translation library due to system error code 31.
Quickbooks Enterprise 2003 opened, logged in to Qbooks as Admin.
Qbooks never opens to authorize sharing program with QODBC.
But works OK with same Qbooks files on 98ME and XP systems.

Operating system version: Windows 98SE/2000/ME/NT 4.0/XP
I did try the install on the non supported 98 system when trying to isolate problem, so not concerned about that. But I do need installation on 98SE.
Have been working with tech support, now suggesting that Windows OS be reinstalled. Have no desire to do that.
Other suggestions? |

| Actually we don't support QuickBooks 2003 or Windows 98 anymore. QODBC v7.00.00.214 contains new internal libraries for Microsoft Windows Vista. You can try uninstalling QODBC and going back to our QODBC v6 installer that has the pre-Vista libraries at: http://www.qodbc.com/download/build176.exe |
