I am trying to find a solution to automate a complicated importing process.  I am evaluating QIntegrator as I hope this would provide me with the solution but it doesn't appear it will.

Our company uses a proprietary citrix-based database to handle hundreds of transactions from numerous jurisdictions on a daily basis.  Each jurisdiction is set up as its own company file on quick books (over 100).

The database is set up to auto-generate .iif files daily with the .iif filename including the  type of transaction, jursidiction code and date (i.e.  chk-020-060106.iif,  where chk (checks) = transaction type, 020 = jurisdiction (county) code and 060106 = transaction dates.)

On a busy day upwards of 300 of these are generated which then have to be manually imported into each jurisdiction's individual company file.

Is there a solution, such as a batch execution, that can automate this process instead of having to manually open and import files for over 100 different company files?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Regards,
RHarrington

The problem here is that QuickBooks allows one company file to open at the one time. Using QODBC you can write a program that will open each company file in turn, update it and then close the company connection, pause and then open the connection to the next company file and so on.
