| Visual Studio .Net 2005 does not release the connection |

Hi,
I am using QODBC V7.10.00.231 with VS 2005 .Net. I am using Odbc namespace to open and close the QODBC DSN but the connection is still open. I have to to the task manager and End QBW32.EXE Process and then and only then I can open another connection. What can I do to fix this? The VB6 program is able to successfully close the ODBC connection. Thank you very much. |

Most likely this is a question better posted on the MSDN forums, how have you closed the recordset connection?
Public Sub CloseRecordset(rst As ADODB.Recordset) As Dim dl As DataLayer Set dl = New DataLayer dl.CloseRecordset rst End Sub
Note: If your application runs as a service, then it might take the Windows O/S up to ten minutes to "actually" release the connection. |
