I have installed QODBC, but I am unable to connect to QBs unless QBs is running.

the following is instruction from the manual: 

To run this test, make sure that QuickBooks is closed, click on "Start" and "Programs" and locate QODBC Driver for QuickBooks program group. Click on the Icon titled "QODBC Test VBScript". This will run a small script which will attempt to call for data from the sample data files and load QuickBooks in hidden mode. This may take a few moments. If you have a working QODBC installation, you should see a screen similar to the following.

I do not have the 'QODBC Test VBScript' application in my installation. What have I missed?
