QODBC Pre-release Candidate 9.0.0.251 now available for download

  • QODBC Release 9.0 supports QuickBooks 2009 for USA and UK, and the QuickBooks SDK version 8.0 and SDK 6.1
  • Corrected issues with AU 2008 and US QBES 2009 not loading line tables.
  • Corrected SalesTaxCodes not showing in all versions.
  • Corrected  Server Editon not showing.
  • Updated SQLite to version 3.6.2. This corrects some LIKE issues regarding strings ending in capital ‘Z’

The main changes between QODBC v8 and v9 are shown in: Release 9.0.0.249 Fixes

If you are using QODBC with an existing CDKey Code, check the About tab in your QODBC Setup Screen and make sure that the Serial Number second and third digits are either the same or higher than the QuickBooks year you are using.

For example, for QuickBooks 2009 USA Editions you will need the Serial Number to start with either: R09U...... or W09U........ or S09U........

For QuickBooks 2008/09 Australian/New Zealand/Asia Pacific Editions you will need the Serial Number to start with either: R08O...... or W08O........ or S08O......

If your previous version of QODBC had a CDKey Code for example: -

USA Users: QODBC v8 Read/Write Desktop for QuickBooks 2008, then QODBC will report that you don't have a valid CDKey Code for QuickBooks 2009 and say your evaluation has expired.

Australian Users: QODBC v6 Read/Write Desktop for QuickBooks 2006, then QODBC will report that you don't have a valid CDKey Code for QuickBooks 2008/09 and say your evaluation has expired.

You will need to purchase a new QODBC license CDKey Code from your regional sales office.

Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise Users within USA: Check the "About" tab in the QODBC Setup Screen for the existance of a previous full product license. If you had a previous QODBC full product activation, you will need to deactivate your CDKey Code in order for QODBC to drop back to free operation as a QODBC Enterprise Desktop Edition (Read Only) when using USA versions of QuickBooks Enterprise v6, 7, 8 or 9.

I have installed the qodbcup.exe and can actually connect to QBOE from QReportBuilder for the first time in the evaluation version.

However, on the initial refresh data attempt this error appears:

In a5_qrb_generic Function []:Unexpected error in function Generate Native Syntax

I am not a developer, but just a person trying to evaluate QReportBuilder with a connection to the online edition of QB.  I hope that my feedback is useful and that I am not in the wrong place to find/send this information.  Thanks.

Thanks for the info. The error appears to be from QReportBuilder and not QODBC, please post your findings in the QReportBuilder Forum found at: http://msgboard.alphasoftware.com/alphaforum/forumdisplay.php?f=59

There are also a number of settings that need to be checked in QODBC, try also looking at: How do I use QODBC with QuickBooks Online?
