I'm having trouble getting the QODBC to act consistently.  I am currently testing the RDS connection on the server itself and I keep getting the same error ("Existing connection was forcibly closed").  I did some searching and I can't seem to find a resolution to the issue.

What has me confused is that last week the QODBC connection test was successful when another user tried on the server and from his own machine using the RDS client (it would not work for me, however).  After a few tests, he then was experiencing the same error message.

Please advise.

I followed the walkthrough.  As I mentioned, everything worked correctly for another user, and then he began receiving the same error.

However, I decided yesterday to uninstall QODBC, RDS Server, and RDS Client, and start over; that seemed to clear whatever the problem was and now everything is working as it should.

Thank you for your time.
