Hi All, I have QODBC connecting to Quickbooks Enterprise 2008/09 when I am logged in as local user account on Vista Business, but when I log in as domain user I receive 80040408. I have followed other instructions I have read, ie switch on UAC, make sure user account is not administrator, etc.. This enables the Test Connection To Quickbooks icon, but the test always fails.; Any assistance in getting QODBC to run in Vista on a domain account would be greatly appreciated. Best Regards, Nathan Elcoate

Sorry, but aren't you logged into the server when you log in as a domin account?

Hello yes when logged into the domain account I am connecting to the server. The only way it seems to work in Vista is to be logged in as a local/non-domain account. Even though the domain account is as User and UAC is on it still doesn't work. Being logged off the domin and onto local machine only is not practical. Is there a work around?

To use the domain account on the server requires a copy of the QuickBooks Client and QODBC to be installed on the server.
