What is the syntax to filter the Query by date?

I have tried:

WHERE (TxnDate BETWEEN '01/01/2006' AND '01/01/2007')

&

WHERE (TxnDate > '01/01/2006' ) AND (TxnDate < '01/01/2007' )

and nothing seems to work.

It's:

WHERE (TxnDate > {d'2006-01-01' }) AND (TxnDate < {d'2007-01-01'} )

See: How are dates formatted in SQL queries when using the QuickBooks generated time stamps? for more.
