Installation of POS driver |

Is there a forum/ thread specifically devoted to the POS driver - especially installation related issues? I'm trying to set up a direct link from a patron registration database (MySQL) to a POS installation specifically to auto-populate the customer list: customer info is already entered in the patron database so I'd like to avoid having to re-enter it in QB POS.
many comments related to installation problems I'm having are about pointing at QB not at QB POS - for example, QB POS doesn't seem to have a place to specify and authorize integrated applications.
I do understand this is beta software, but I'm just hoping that some others have been trying to do a similar thing? |

The QODBC Driver for QuickBooks POS is still in beta and therefore not supported at this stage on the QDeveloper Forum. A forum with topics will appear here when the product is released. |

I've spoken to President of FLEXquarters.com LLC and there's about two or three weeks of work required to relink and test the QODBC Driver for QuickBooks POS with the later driver kit before release. Currently I don't see this being started until August, but I don't set the development priorities. |

Thanks for the information. I've given up for the moment since I just can't get the driver test apps to connect to the database - I am getting a "Data Schema Mismatch Error". Is there any chance I can have a look at the source of that vb or c++ demo program to see how it is trying to make the connection?
I will be re-developing this database in a few months anyway so it looks like I'll just wait for the POS driver to come out of BETA so I can make it work properly at that time. |
