Does someone know the connection string needed for using your OEM license in a application?  Like if I want to use the VB Demo program to test the driver install and one of my oem licenses on a client machine what would be the syntax?

Special QODBC OEM connection strings were only applicable to QODBC v5, QODBC v9 uses the standard connection parameters as full product licenses, see: How do I build a connection string with all the available QODBC parameters?

So I did a manual registering of a client machine.  Then tried to run my app I wrote using the version 8 driver.  So basically I was setting up to connect to a QB2009 file for the new year.  I registered it using my developer OEM key and tried to run my program and it tells me that the machine's license is expired.  I ran the activate a second time thinking that it was for my individual application requesting to run.

So that didn't work.  Then I tried the VB Demo to connect to the 2008 QB files and it told me the license was expired.  I originally had a v8 Read-Only install of the QODBC on this machine before installing the V9 and getting this license expired issue.  Should it be telling me that the license is expired?

Another question I have is:  If we manually install the license manually on the machine.  Do we have to put our developer code in the connection string or is it just like this "Driver={QODBC Driver for QuickBooks};DFQ=C:\Program Files\QODBC Driver for QuickBooks\sample04.qbw;OpenMode=M;OLE DB Services=-2;" ?  If it is standard like you mentioned in your post then is my registering of the machine's license failing to register properly?

Daniel

If you have a Serial Number that starts with D08, R08, W08 or S08 then the license will only work with QuickBooks 2008. You need a new CDKey Code for QuickBooks 2009.

Sorry for the confusion.  I used to have the W08 CDkey on the machine and I'm trying to register a D09. ????

Well deactive the W08xxxxxxxxxxxxx CDKey Code (as per How do I deactivate QODBC? How do I transfer my license to my new computer? ) and then activate the D09xxxxxxxxxxxx CDKey Code as per: How do I activate QODBC? I get an error from the QODBC activation server?
