I need Quick Books to open at a specified time so that I can exchange data with an Access database.  I can't leave Quick Books open all night as it interferes with the automatic backup. Is it possible to have Windows open Quick Books at a specified time using the Windows Scheduled Task feature?  If it is possible the program file path and data file path are not the problem but I would need to pass a user name and password.

QODBC can start QuickBooks for you. See: How do I setup QODBC to auto-login into QuickBooks and start it if it's not running? , so all you need to do is schedule your program to run.
