In running a simple make table query for employee's hired in 2006, SELECT Employee.*, * INTO [employees 2006]
FROM Employee WHERE (((Employee.IsActive)=Yes));
I noticed the sex of every employee was the reverse of the data entered in Quickbooks.  Can you explain why this is happening and what is it's significance?

You are correct, using QODBC with the Australian version of QuickBooks does show the gender reversed:

However it's correct using the USA version of QuickBooks:

There appears to be a reversal in the qbXML SDK 3.0 used in the Australian version of QuickBooks. The problem has been reported to the QODBC Software Engineer under Ticket No: BR00000056 for reversal.

Fixed by QuickBooks 2008/09, but you now need to use QODBC v9 see: QODBC Pre-release Candidate 9.0.0.251 now avaliable for download
