I have a 3 seat license and due to a hardware failure was unable to deactivate a license before formatting the hard drive. Therefore I am one seat down. I have also tried to deActivate a seat using the DeActivate function and it fails with CD Key not on file and will not deactivate. I need to install and activate this on a different workstation.
Can you please advise?

Thank you for your response. The license I am trying to deactivate is a registered and licensed seat. When I try to deactivate it, it says the CD Key is not valid.

A error message such as, "Activation not on file for CDKey: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx" means that there isn't a current activation on file for the SoftwareID of the computer you are trying to deactivate. This is the computer's ID and not the CDKey.
You can only deactivate active FlexODBC license seats where the computer's ID is on file on the activation server. It also takes up to 48 hours for a deactivation to be released on the activation server.
Because the activation server was recently moved, you need to do all activations and deactivations manually. |

You can only deactivate the license seat once. Once it has been done, the computer ID is no longer on file. The deactivated seat may take up to 48 hours to be released. Only when it's released will the seat be available to activate elsewhere. |

De-activating another PC on the same serial as Tania gives the following error:

Is the licence de-activated? I couldn't go to the second part. Will I be able to use this licence on another PC? I can't resubmit the 1st part of the deactivation as it says that it's not on file.
Would do I do? |

The activation server has become corrupted. I've reported the problem directly to FLEXquarters.com LLC in the United States. Nothing has happened to your license seat yet as the process has not be completed with a verify code. You will have to retry when the system is working again. |

The problem has been solved - there was an incorrect asp script call in the FlexODBC registration module that slipped by untested when they moved the activation server. |
