SQL Server 2005 Mirrored installation |

I need to connect an extisting SQL Server-based application to Quickbooks, and I plan to upgrade to a Mirrored server array later this year w/ Witness, Principal and Mirror servers later this year. (See http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/2005/dbmirror.mspx)
Where would I place QODBC and Quickbooks installations? On the Witness? Principal? Mirror?
Which Server-based scheme makes more sense in this arrangement? DCOM or Remote Connection?
Is there a more detailed discussion of the pros and cons of the two Installation arrangements?

Database Mirroring in SQL Server 2005 doesn't apply to QODBC. What you would normally do is have a process where you would transfer QODBC table information out of QuickBooks to SQL Server Tables and then mirror them. |
