I am attempting to create invoices by appending to the invoiceline table I am running into an error as follows:

"[QODBC] Error: 3140 - There is an invalid reference to QuickBooks Customer "     " in the Invoice.  Quickbooks error message: Invalid argument.  The specified record does not exist in the list (#10053).

I beleive QB does not like me appending a customer name that isn't already in the customer item list.

I am confused since in some of my prior attempts, I have been able to append new customers:  now I is not allowing it.

What could be the problem?

The customer must already be in QuickBooks before you can raise a invoice for it. See: How do I create a new Customer, invoice them and mark the invoice as paid?
